The problem is all of these kids want to be stars without making the proper investment of blood sweat and tears.
Broner has all the talent in the world but wasted it with brainless moves and bad management.

Davis started his career at the ripe age of 18, with an impressive amateur record consisting of 206 wins and 15 losses. As a professional, he was blazing through opponents, with numerous 1st round knockouts. Having noticed his talent, Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr took him under his wing in 2015. 2 years later, Davis faced Jose "Sniper" Pedraza, the IBF super featherweight world champion, and knocked him out, becoming a world champion at just 22 years of age. He was now on the radar for the other champions in the division. Next, he destroyed Liam Walsh, in his first title defense bout.

Somewhere down the line, things got rough between Davis and Mayweather. Apparently, Davis had sold $20,000 worth of furniture, and moved back to Baltimore (Mayweather had him living and training in Vegas). He was supposed to defend his title again, against Francisco Fonseca, but lost his title on the scales. He then put on a rather mediocre performance against Fonseca, which was a big deal, since he was fighting on the Mayweather vs McGregor card. Millions of viewers watched Davis struggle against a complete nobody, and knock him out with a rabbit punch.

Now, things have been getting worse for Davis. Recently, he stated that Mayweather set him up to lose, when he matched him up against Pedraza. This seems to have created a bit of tension between the two, since Mayweather suddenly decided he wanted to match Davis up with Lomachenko, despite having shown no interest in making the fight before, due to Davis being so young. Davis is also having some beef with the Charlo twins, after responding to a rant from Jermall Charlo, by saying that they were on coke. I've also noticed that he seems to be hanging out with Adrien Broner, one of the biggest disappointments in boxing right now. Davis also got into a bit of legal trouble. He had allegedly knocked out one of his friends, and could've served 10 years in prison for assault, had the charges not been dropped.

If Davis vs Lomachenko really takes place, that could really hurt the former. Do you guys think Davis will overcome his issues, and achieve greatness, or become yet another waste of talent?
he became a waste of talent when he signed with floyd

I didn't call him bad, I called him a disappointment. Broner's one of the worst 4 division world champs out there. Uncle Al handed him world titles like cookies. His best wins were a knockout on DeMarco, and a split decision against Malignaggi. DeMarco and Malignaggi were C and B-class, respectively, at the time they fought Broner.

Malignaggi exposed Broner, but didn't have the power to do much, so Maidana had to finish the job. What'd Broner do, after getting literally beat across the ring by Maidana? He beat some cans, lost to Porter, was handed a paper title after beating yet another can, barely beat Granados, then lost to Garcia. Broner's success is a result of careful matchmaking. Any time he faced a serious threat, he folded. He folded against Quintero, Maidana, Porter and Garcia, but the 1st guy got robbed. He really is the Can Man.
