I don't have anything against the guy but this idea that Americans are warming to AJ seems flat. Americans hated Wlad and yet he pulled bigger numbers.

I don't recall anyone claiming Joshua was a crowd-puller in the US, quite the opposite, that he had to go to the US and make a name for himself. So not sure where the 'news' is here, it just confirms what we all knew already, no matter what side of the pond.
Ditto Wilder is relatively unknown in the UK, something else we already know. Both fighters need to get built up in the others market if the fight is to be as big as it could be.
Good reason Joshua fighting Miller in NY, and Wilder fighting Whyte in the UK might actually not be such a bad idea ?
Main difference is that Joshua can't do any more to build himself up in the UK, he's at peak there already, so he can focus on trying to build up interest in the US without losing fans at home. Sounds like Wilder still has some work to do in the US market though, which might suggest a fight or two more there as well as a fight in the UK.
Wilder/Joshua right now would be a fraction of how big it COULD be if they both went for broke on building it, and that's why Hearn will probably not make the fight.

Anthony Joshua may hold World Championship belts but he is nothing more than a National Champion. If he is happy being a star in the UK so be it. He is a good looking, well spoken dude that needs to be Good Morning America, The Today Show, Ellen etc. He would be a huge hit fighting here if people got to know him and its going to take a US mega fight with Wilder to get that global recognition. Even if he is gonna get knocked out!
And he has looked terrible in his last two fight and if he thinks people are going to keep coming to see him go the distance he is very mistaken.
