bj saunders is the best fight at MW other than canelo, and his promoter said he was a month out. if you fight in june you kiss a september fight goodbye, it's just not enough time to promote the thing. can't fight a 168 lber. can't fight a 154 lber. can't fight a guy contracted to showtime. can't fight a lot of people.

so where are these worthy guys, and how do you know they're lining up?

if you refuse to acknowledge that canelo is responsible for this there's nothing i can do for you. the guy didn't even have to pull out of the fight, but he did! and with around a month to go! most middleweights cannot even make weight in a month, nevermind get ready to fight the best fighter in the weight class.

i'd pick saunders to beat golovkin. in the past he has literally said he'd lose to golovkin, and avoided him like the plague, but a lot has changed since then. golovkin has slowed down considerably. saunders would give him FITS at this age! styles make fights.

as for why he's not an opponent, his promoter frank warren said he won't be ready. hurt his hand in his last fight, IIRC, and FFS you guys understand that these guys need 10-12 weeks to get in shape to fight for a world title? he probably can't even make the weight! never mind get in shape, gameplan, and spar.

warren offered to make the fight in june, which would never work for reasons i have already outlined! they have a date on PPV set up, and a fight in september with canelo that cannot be promoted in 3 months

the half a dozen to a dozen fighters who avoided golovkin in his prime are the reason for his poor resume.

I agree with everything you said but if he is only fighting on may 5 so he can fight Canelo in September he could be making a big mistake because 1 we don't know if or how long Canelo will be suspended and even if its six months we don't know if Canelo will want to fight GGG in his first fight back

Don't project on me you weak b1tch. You'd be the first one to cross the street if you ever saw me coming.

Who are all those future HOFers who reportedly ducked him?

That's obvious(Regarding Canelo) - but Canelo is not the only MW contender out there. He's out, you're the champion, go for the next guys in line - among those avaible..
Again - there are guys saying they are ready so they obviously can make weight and least GGG can do is call their bluff and if they back out - go for best avaible guy.

It's unfortunete situation, but in UFC fighters can step in in couple days notice and champion has to accept that.

GGG was in camp, he has a date, he's Middleweight champion of the world - if some guys say they are ready to step in, I don't understand what's the excuse for him fighting a tune-up?
yamaguchi falcao? you're really mentioning that guy like he's not an opponent you and the rest of this forum will cry about? the guy is probably hardly in the top 50! really! go look it up, i'll bet money the guy isn't top 20 in the world at MW. i watched almost his entire run as an international amateur, he is nobody to write home about! i hope you're just mentioning that because you heard about him on bscene as being "willing"

demetrius andrade is one of the most protected fighters in boxing! he does his calling out from the safety of another division, or another promotional banner, or anywhere that's not a position for a fight to be made . he's done this before!

derevchenko's best win is trueno johnson, correct? guy has about 10 fights if i'm not mixing him up with somebody else?

believe me, these are just antoher name being brought up and not some kind of measurable step of opponent over a crop of undeserving guys who we're stuck with. fantastic fights . sheesh. derevchenko seems like the only decent threat based on what i've seen with my eyes, but FFS the guy has 10 fights and his best win is trueno johnson! and you'd cry about it if the fight got made! maybe not you, but others!

hell, i'd be pissed! but i'd be pissed at canelo! important, meaningful distinction!
