Comments Thread For: Julian Williams' Coach Confident in Possible Jarrett Hurd Clash

Julian Williams scored a decisive twelve round victory over the brash Nathaniel Gallimore, in a Showtime televised fight which took place last Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It's his third consecutive victory since losing to then IBF world champion Jermall Charlo in December of 2016.

He should have asked for VADA testing for the Charlo fight. That being said, Williams doesn't have a 12 round gas tank. He will be in trouble down the stretch if he doesn't work on that cardio, for a Hurd fight.

Bread c'mon, don't throw J Rock to the wolves again 18 months later.

He came back OK, NICE, but that's not enough, he needs to improves his D, mix it up a bit more and sit more on his punches when needed. He needs to improve period.

He's still there for the taking for guys like big bro Charlo or Hurd.
Ishe Smith and Gallimore are good tests but won't make him reach the next level.

Fighting guys like Vanes, Sadam Ali, Brook or Liam Smith would already be more than a challenge for J Rock.

Hurd is a killer and too big.

if gallimores pressure got him tired what will hurds do? I like Julian but he needs a few more decent level fights before he goes for the top. not that hurd is this high level boxer but what he does is effective and grinding. like a great millstone!

Jrock has earned another shot. IMO Hurd is a worse matchup for him than Charlo was. He had a tough go with Gallimore and Hurd is going to pressure him just a much, only he is more skilled and has a longer reach than Gllimore.

Hurd by KO when it happens. Like Jrock but Hurd is too much for him IMO.

I agree I don't believe in ducking but in this case where Julian is still shaking off the cob webs it's a HELL NO!!! lol Hurd is a giant and has a strong chin where as J Rock chin is questionable now. So I think Julian should take another fight then Hurd.

I like the way he threw in VADA testing at the end of the article. I like Hurd I just was more of a Lara fan, but I have no reason to believe he's juicing. He a solid fighter but has a leaky defense he needs a trainer that will help him with that. And I can't imagine anyone beating Hurd at 154 if he improves his up to average level because right now it's almost non existent. I don't remember seeing Hurd duck more than one punch in a round lol

Big Breadman & J-Rock fan and I'm glad to have Bread waving the flag for CLEAN ATHLETES.

Yes, lets just be real here. You have guys who are 6ft tall and some how coming in at 154 lbs jacked?

Tall guys at 154 used to look like Tommy Hearns and now they look like 1970s George Foreman. Somethings' up
