It's a big offer. GGG wants to beat a Mexican boxer on Cinco de Mayo but if CSAC do approve this fight then they will also make sure nothing damaging would happen to Mungia.

Nsac took away this kids lifetime payday for no reason. Dude is a fighter, he's young, healthy, active, if he wants the damn fight nsac should give it to him. All of sudden they care about a mismatch?
I think there is something else going on behind the scenes with nsac and this when one mess.

It depends.
$750k is the alleged offer; after promoter, manager, trainer, taxes, etc, Munguia was likely looking at $150k-$200k actually getting to him.
At ~18.25 pesos to the $, you're basically talking about 3.5m-3.7m pesos to Munguia, for a fight that could possibly ruin him as a fighter (tbf, Golovkin isn't the ruining fighters type of guy anyone, so the threat is less pressing).
Is that enough money to build something with in Mexico? Likely not, but I have no idea.

That's damn near a million buck for a good prospect most boxing fans never heard of. It think it was a very good offer. I am glad the fight didn't happen. He isn't ready or worthy of a world title shot yet. Nobody ranks him in their top 15.

People think that because 1 dollar is a lot of pesos in certain countries, then it literally means that you just multiplied your money that much. For example the iPhone X 64gb in the US, I paid $999 for mine. $1000 is $18,000 something in Mexico. The iPhone X 64gb price in Mexico when it released was $23,500 pesos. That's $1,284 dollars, a +$284 increase in comparison to the US price.Originally posted by Scipio2009 View Post$750k is the alleged offer; after promoter, manager, trainer, taxes, etc, Munguia was likely looking at $150k-$200k actually getting to him.

Always adjust for inflation.

Agree with this. And at his age, it's completely possible GGG turns up looking old in there come fight night and this kid pulls off the upset. You never know; no one gave Buster Douglas a shot to win either.Originally posted by AddiX View PostNsac took away this kids lifetime payday for no reason. Can't believe they have the nerve to not approve this fight but approved McGregor to fight the best boxer in the world.
