Why do you care what Wilder makes?

Shouldn't you just want to see the fight?

Normal human beings have a natural revulsion of unfairness, and it's obvious that Hearn's offer is an unfair deal. Besides, a fair deal is a prerequisite to the fight happening at all in any case. Sure, there are A sides and B sides and Joshua is definitely the A side and can lay claim to the bigger portion of the money, but making a huge fight like this is ultimately a cooperative effort and if the A side is dead-set on pocketing 90% of the money then the B side might decide, quite rightly, that it isn't worth it to do business with you. Wilder's an unbeaten world champion the same as Joshua, not some hobo journeyman fighting out of a boxcar. The least Hearn can do is make an offer that even slightly reflects that.

All of this should go without saying to anyone with a mental age above 6 years old but when fanboys often decide to act wilfully ignorant.

      • Wilder is a joke. 6 months hollering about how desperate he is for this fight. He gets offered his biggest ever paycheck but its not enough. Suddenly its about the money. Bumsquad indeed.

I don't care, but the reality is that they are prize fighters and fights have fell apart due to finances.

I couldn't care less if AJ makes over $100m and Wilder makes a fraction of that. But the reality they will be advising Wilder the value of the fight and they will them him not to sign that take it or leave it offer.

What does it matter how it relates to his last payday? You can say that Joshua is the bigger draw and you'd be right, but the reason that so many want to see this fight is because it's a clash of what BOTH fighters bring to the table, not just one. In light of that, how is it fair or equitable for Wilder to come away with a figure that's probably less than a third of what Joshua will take away, and a figure that's reportably less than what Joshua's last opponent got, who was by all credible accounts a smaller name and an inferior fighter who held a less credible belt for a far shorter period of time, who recently didn't look great against subpar opposition?

By your logic, if I were to take up a job offer working as, I dunno, a brain surgeon, it'd be fine for you to pay me like 8 dollars an hour because that's still more than I got for my last job that I took working part time in a grocery store, and therefore I should just be happy and shut up. Never mind that it's not a salary that reflects the work you do or that the last guy to hold the job got paid more despite being less qualified.

I shouldn't have to explain this to people, but people just want to argue for the sake of arguing, I swear. It's like talking to children.

Because it's simple business: If you make a company more money, you should be PAID more money you fu.cking ******. Got Joshua's cack out of your mouth already.

What, is Deontay suppose to go to England, fight the ref, the judges, AND Joshua for a whopping $13.47?

              F!CK OFF ALREADY.

You KNOW AJ doesn't want this fight. The reason the money matters here, is because he's pricing himself out. Why? Because he knows he'll get torched inside 8 rounds. HEEEEEE'S SCURRED BRAH.

If Joesph Parker could do what he did to AJ, Deontay murks him. No ifs, ands or buts.

Now get over it. Just face the facts: AJ is scurred, and has proved as much by pricing himself out.

$13.75 is about double of his entire career put together.

AJ might make $30-40m which is only about 40-50% higher than his biggest payday.

Why is Wilder the only one who needs to get paid more?
