  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin: I'm Ready For Anyone, Canelo's Issues Not My Problem

IBF, WBA, IBO, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) is not concerned, at least at this moment, with whatever punishment is handed down to division rival Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Golovkin's only focus right now is fighting on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - against an opponent to be announced.

You might be ready for anyone but your team isn't ready to risk that Canelo rematch payday.

If it ends up Derevyanchenko or Andrade I'll eat my words, but I guarantee it'll end up being a massive underdog and/or a nobody.

That's it guys. Give the guy a break. A cheater can't face him so just pile on why don't you.

I think Andrade, Charlo, Benavidez or Saunders would be satisfactory replacements. Anyone else would be disappointing. This whole incident has kind of cast a light on how weak MW is as a whole at the minute, honestly.
