Comments Thread For: Lara's Trainer Angry: Erislandy Always Gets Screwed in Las Vegas!

Ronnie Shields, trainer for former world champion Erislandy Lara, was not happy with the scoring of Saturday's fight at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. In a high stakes unification for the IBF, WBA, IBO junior middleweight titles, Jarrett Hurd used a 12th-round knockdown to secure a split-decision victory over Lara to unify the three sanctioning belts.

I always try to when I'm in Vegas also.

As for the fight, if he stays on his feet, even if he loses the round , it's a draw. If he wins the round he wins the fight. I think he screwed himself.

Lol, yeah your man stood in front of him and got busted up and beat. Particularly in the 2nd half. Close fight, Lara was not ahead by many points. Lara getting busted up and beaten up in the 2nd half and the knockdown in the 12th was the difference. Shut up Shields, stop crying like a b itch acting like this was some sort of robbery. Pathetic!

Lara lost fair and square this time, unlike before...no robbery

Hard to say much when your fighter looked so dog tired in the last half of the fight, then got dropped. Even if you think he banked enough rounds to win, don't fuss because the fans aren't going to want to hear it. They want a guy to come on strong at the end. That's boxing.
