also, even the judges who scored similarly, differed on a lot of rounds..... leading to a wider possible range

And randomly this is an example I use of how hyped fans would get with opening scoring when they know to drag it all back inside it. This sh^t would be on a whole other level than we see now if fans without question knew a fight was gonna be decided in the last round.

The knocked down won the fight for Hurd because Lara was leading on all the card prior to the last round.

Hurd's head is a concrete with steel reinforced.

Lara fought well but I don't think the fight was close. Lara had a lot of last minute flashy single punches that "stole" some of the rounds but if you were being fair you wouldn't give those rounds to Lara for a few seconds when Hurd did all the work. I think some people are overly critical of Hurd because he looks like a unskilled fighter but he put a beating on Lara who was supposed to be way more skilled. Lara would've been stopped if the fight went on much longer. Hurd showed me he's more skilled than he's getting credit. I've been high on him for quite a while now. It's good to see him take the steps he's taking in becoming a viable champion. Bring on Charlo.

Idk man...I give Hurd credit, he is a tough guy and fought a good fight...but I just watched the Showtime feed and I think the announcers were hyping Hurd's output up too much...again he fought a smart fight but basically anytime he threw, even when nothing got through clean, the announcers would act like they were clean...and Lara could land like 5-6 clean shots in a row and the announcers would be talking about the last round still or something.

I don't really have a problem with the decision, but I had it 7-5 Lara and even gave Hurd a couple of the close rounds. How did that one judge have it 4-1 for Hurd after 5 rounds? That's crazy. Anyway it was a good fight. I do feel like Showtime's team was trying to hype Hurd up though.
