how come hurd isnt getting any hype?

trout and lara are two of the best wins from an american fighter. good style, entertaining fighter and humble personality.

just strange how this site goes into meltdown when wilder beats ortiz yet hurd beats lara whos far far far more proven and theres no reaction.

Hes top dog in that 154 division for me, looking forward to seeing him progress. I'd favour him over just about anyone including brook, style is all wrong for him.

And to everyone crying about him being bigger, tough ****, if he can make 154 legally then hes following the rules.

If people are gonna throw spence into their p4p lists then theres no reason hurd cant be in there (peterson and brook v lara and trout)

Wilder got no hype for a long time too. Today was Hurd's coming out party and he's already getting a lot of respect.

I can't really suspend him for his build, but players or fighters that are just outrageously big just dont do it for me a lot. Shaq was fun to watch, so is LeBron but to see Hurd be that much bigger than Lara while still being in and around the same weight is a meh kind of thing

I get what TS is saying, warriors like Hurd are a lost specie in boxing. Hurd should get more props.

Wilder just get his first "non C fighter" win in his very last fight (not his fault if the HW scene is complete garbage), Hurd beat 2 elite fighters in a row and is a class act (won't see him involved on some Zelenoff fights or "wanting a body"rants).

Hurd is all hearth and passion, there is nothing to dislike about this guy. I just hope he tightens his defense a bit.

There are weight division and rules in boxing, last time I checked he respected them.

Yeah, Hurd is a weight bully but if he hurts his body by draining 20 pounds for the weigh in then that's his own problem.

This guy will be better at 160, I'm sure he could beat De Gale next moving up 2 divisions, he's a lot better and bigger than Truax.

He will be a multiple division champ, he has so much room to improve and he's the first guy to clearly beat Lara in my book (Williams was a robbery and Clenelo a draw)
