        Neither were that interested.
Lara didn't want the fight abroad, so there was an issue of tv rights.
Ward only wanted it at 168, if GGG jumped through a lot of hoops first. He was almost divaing to the point of Canelo.

Look how can ya not love Spike? The name, the fighting spirit, he's got it all to be a fan favorite.

But the dude is very limited at the world level. And GGG is at the point in his career where this fight would just be such a huge step back, and be pointless.

Stylistically, it'd just be too easy for him.. A come forward fighter with limited movement.

And the flip-side, as a Spike fan, I'd rather not see Spike get his head pummeled from pillar to post.
Good points as to why a fight with Sullivan SHOULDN'T be made!

If a fight with Derevyanchenko is sanctioned by NSAC then Golovkin should get his IBF mandatory out of the way.

Coming from a wilder fan, that's pretty funny.

I still want to see Canelo, BJS, ... and Golovkin.

I was a fan of the Ginger a long time ago, now he is a disgrace to boxing for all I care. What a POS.

he is not a top level fighter. he is only on TV because he's a novelty and he is not hard to hit.

FFS this fight is staying on PPV. garry osullivan does not belong in the main event of a f#cking ppv.
