You do know Canelo doesn't need to be a mandatory cause in all reality Canelo doesn't need any belts and he'll still have all the top middleweights just itching to fight him....
Canelo will still be the cash cow once his suspension is over..

I can understand this fight. I thought this fight should have happened last year over the Canelo fight. I think Billy Joe Saunders has a chance if he boxers like he did against Lemeiux (although Lemeiux looked sloppy and out of shape). I can't imagine what BJS would say if he became undisputed champion lol that'll be must see TV

I'm still not sold on Saunders??? I mean he looked GREAT against Lemuix. But looked like dog sht the fight before against a complete bug. And then he went live and death with Andy Lee who Chavez Jr. Needed 7 rounds to TKO.

And Lemuix was TKO'd by Ricky Rubio. And lost to career 154lb Alcine who Angulo KO'd in 1 round.

Canelo vs ggg will more than likely happen in the fall. Ggg won't do good ppv numbers with anyone else and despite Canelo being the face of boxing right now, he isn't Floyd. He won't be putting up 1 mil ppv buys with anyone else other than ggg. The other big names in the mw division likely wouldn't even generate 500k buys vs canelo.

Clenelo out for a whole year, which honestly would not surprise me at this point, Golovkin has Saunders in the Fall.

If Clenelo can fight, Saunders keeps spinning until December-March.

I doubt they'd give Canelo a year but then again, I didn't think he'd be suspended for may so what do I know. If that is the case, not sure Canelos first fight back after being off for almost 2 yrs would be vs the winner of that fight. They'd probably give him a soft touch.
