I think people hate on him because they believe he never earned the spotlight he so much brags about. Obviously he had he chance to take over boxing and the spotlight by beating Floyd, but he lost. Oscar and GB were pushing Canelo down our throats as the next big thing when he really hadn't done much. He's pretty much like every other boxer now who feels entitled and claims he's a superstar by beating nobodies. Guys like Floyd , Manny and Oscar earned their star status and earned the right to call the shots after putting in all that work. Canelo never did any of that, he was handed everything without even beating anyone of note. Handed the vacant WBC 154 title in a catchweight. Won the MW in a catchweight and made up his own weight class. What are Canelo's bigest wins? Trout and Lara? Followed by wins against old fighters like Mosely and Cotto and smaller guys like Khan and Josesito Lopez?

It was the same with Floyd and manny too.

The difference is that Floyd and Manny put in the work and earned their star status after many years of beating top fighters dominating weight classes. Canelo got everything handed to him by default, he had a chance to take it from Mayweather but ended up getting schooled.

Half this forum is full of golovkin fans. It’s a common human problem they see someone like Canelo or maybe a person that they interact with they get incredibly jealous that they this person is living a amazing life that he created for himself while the guys refuse to get off their ass and work for anything. Basically losers. They see Canelo as something they will never be whether it’s the good looks, the work ethic, popularity and some might even hate him for being Mexican! They look at golovkin like he is a pure angel somebody that embodies all the traits they want in a person but in reality people like this compensate for low self worth by living vicariously through other people aka the hardcore golovkin fans. It’s really sad, they can’t even wait for the verdict before they attack him, like hyenas smell anything they jump like **** on the deck of a ship that’s on fire

People use the word "HATE" entirely too loosely these days so much so the definition is slowly losing its rightful place. People you hate are are people who couldn't safely walk down the street within eyesight of you. Dislike would be the more appropriate terms since you wouldn't "fck" with that person in any regards.
