The Margarito issue is far far more murky. There was a terrific thread on here once which highlighted everything from the court case and basically concluded saying it's not that black and white. The Capetillo issue is clear, he tampered the gloves but Margarito's position is largely based on inference. Naazim and Dan Birmingham have said it's possible in such an instance that the fighter doesn't know what his trainer is wrapping around his hands because it happens so quickly. Not to mention Keith Kizer himself said there were no issues with the first Cotto fight. Nevada gives you new gauze to use, California lets you use old ones

Lol, I knew it was the second fight. I posted the picture to show the busted up face theory has no value. If Margarito busted his face in the second fight that bad, Cotto would have looked worse after the first.
