One meaningful win in his entire, almost over, career.

    Goldenboy doesn't promote G-string.

How is GB involved? They could've told GB to F- off for cancelling on them and fought a better opponent.

Instead they're targeting an easy win for G-string.

I’m a fan of GGG but this opponent is BS. I get it, the positive tests are out of his control. Personally I think he should’ve taken a harder stance against GBP but if it means he can punish one of their fighters, sign me up. Keep the PPV fee to a minimum, this shouldn’t be on PPV to begin with.

Agreed, but we don't give credit for coulda, shoulda ; he 'coulda' moved up in weight like he promised but didn't want to dare be great.

That explains it. Golden Boy is still involved, so they have to choose an opponent from GBP's meager stable.

Hindsight is 20/20. Golovkin and K2 should have never gotten involved with GB. They've jerked him around and wasted years of his career. After Alvarez vacated the WBC title, they should have said "thanks, come back to us later if you're interested in fighting", and moved on with Golovkin's career. That was in early 2016. He could have had 6 meaningful fights by now.

Andrade might be stalling. BJS is unavailable to fight. I guess GGG has to fight on May 5th due to promotional reasons with Golden Boy (who also represent O’Sullivan), and also because he should stay active. His last fight was september, so it’ll be almost 8 months now.

Damn, if it's Sullivan, im gonna have to pass on purchasing the ppv. Disappointing. I would buy if it's Ramirez at 168, andrade, Saunders or Charlo.

Spike should never be considered .He is simply not up to it , I saw him taken to bits by Chris Eubank Jr. he is European level.

Respect goes out to O'Sullivan as a boxer but from a competitive standpoint this match up would suck. If it's May 5th and Jacobs, Charlo, and Saunders are out of the equation I'd rather see Andrade or Ramirez face Golovkin. Gilberto Ramirez already said he's down to face GGG in May so why not? Golovkin vs. Ramirez for the 168 belt would be legit.

What a shame, he should moved up like hes been meaning too ; to think that George Groves has had more quality fights is just sad.
What is a 'clear' 'career defining win'?

                      Who should he have fought?
