2014, Guillermo Jones fails test in runup to his rematch with Denis Lebedev. Lebedev sues, is awarded $2m.

Povetkin fails test in runup to his fight with Deontay Wilder. Wilder sues.

Wilder wins $4.5m, the full value of his purse.

These are all open and shut breach of contract cases, as the contracts stipulate that you are not allowed to use performance enhancing drugs.

By failing a drug test, Canelo is in breach of contract.

GGG will more than likely walk away with a judgement for the full $15m.

The only question is if it comes out of Golden Boys pocket or Canelos.

It really depends on if Golden Boys insurance policy for the fight covers doping violations.

If not, Canelo is about to learn a very expensive lesson on professionalism.
