Comments Thread For: Hearn: We Don't Believe Wilder, Miller is Possible For Joshua

As BoxingScene.com reported earlier today, Deontay Wilder says he's ready to fight Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight unification bout, and is willing to travel overseas. Wilder canceled a scheduled media conference call Tuesday, instead issuing a statement saying he's "ready to come to the (United Kingdom) for my next fight." He says co-managers Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon are available to begin talks to set up the fight "immediately."

How does Miller get a shot when you got a guy who is his mandatory for 2 of the 3 belts?

Ok Hearn, you're pissing me off now.

It's clear you are looking for excuses to not make this fight.

      I can't defend this and I won't. Call a Spade a Spade.

lol I said it all along his fighting Miller in the Summer and Povetkin in the fall. Wilder won't happen till 2019 so be prepared for Wilder to fight Breazeale and someone else after. Boxing is full of politics and big fights are rarely rushed, as far as an concerned this is all scripted and both sides are playing the game.

"Wilder must fight the winner of Whyte-Povetkin first on the next lunar eclipse in order to be taken into consideration for a phone call with Matchroom." - Hearn

Wow Hearn is a character man. It's getting beyond ridiculous just make the fight happen already. Whether this fight happens or not depends on Eddie Hearn. If Hearn wants the fight to happen it'll happen.

Joshua will honour his mandatory first so it will be Povetkin.

That fight will be ordered soon.

"We don't believe" with absolutely nothing to back that up. Hearn definitely doesn't want to make the fight next.

At a New York City media roundtable this afternoon for undefeated heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller, Hearn threw cold water on Wilder's claim and stated that Miller was an obvious frontrunner to face Joshua.

Well first you had one of Mismatchrooms goons Dillian Shyte as an obstacle a few weeks ago, now here comes another Hearn promoted fighter this fat **** 'Big-Baby' Miller getting priority.

We get it Eddie you have to represent these clowns and its your duty to prioritize their careers over giving us the fight that we want to see ; Wilder v.s Joshua -- however thinking back to when you promoted Luis Ortiz he did not get this special treatment, I find that interesting.
