The myth that Wilder can't box is not true at all; it's no myth, he really can't box.

Wilder nearly fell over with only the ropes keeping him on his feet. Look at the video from 2:25 onwards.

There is no world champion in history that would throw a punch like that.
Being off balance and technique are two different things lol... I don't get your post.

The same man. He isn't the most skilled out there, but people just underestimate him. I just got pushed to show what is really happening by these guys talking nonsense

This is 100% correct. People are not recognizing Wilder's flexibility, speed, mobility, in combination with his size and power, it's unheard of.

Foreman, Bowe, Lewis, etc. BIG guys they keep trying to compare him to were stiffs, they were slow. Most of the time they won fights due to simply overwhelming guys with their size. Wilder's skill set has never been seen at HW.

In fact I'd say most modern day athletes in general are more flexible than they've ever been.
The thing is, he is so physically gift that common sense doesn't apply sometimes. For example: people try and corner him, but is with his back on the corner that he is more dangerous as Szpilka learned in the worst way

You are using obvious corrupted scoring in Wilders backyard vs paid off Haymon bums to defend Wilder?

He can't box dude. He is a GIANT compared to everyone he has ever faced and AJ will be the only guy to basically match him, hence why he doesn't really want that fight. The only reason he even fought Ortiz is because Ortiz is an old man and was rusty coming into the fight. Even so, old man Ortiz had Wilder out on his feet, literally and the the ref bought him invaluable time to recover.

A guy who is Wilder's size will pick him to pieces. Dude is sloppy as phuck and literally leaps into punches when he loses his cool. It's the same exact advantage that Wlad held over people until he faced Fury and AJ.....look how those fights turned out for him, especially the AJ fight.

                Wilder Skill Sets .

                1. Footwork . Is really chalky ( stops and starts in sporadic patterns ) . If he wasnt 220 pounds he would be in trouble thats why he stays light . Nothing is fluid ,he backs up in straight lines , at times he looks like a stalling car .

2 . Punch Selection . He has no hook abilities or combination punching ,usually throwing a one two ,basic jab then straight right . We dont know actually how good his jab is bc he paws it half the time and doesn't really use it to set other shots up .

Hes been most successful by just sticking his left hand out over an opponents face area to disguise his right hand . Body shots are also few bc he doesnt punch effectively on the inside unless again his opposition is stunned .

He has a great straight right and decent upper cut . Hes only effect with hooks when an opponents stunned bc he goes WILD and has a habit of cuffing opponents behind the head . Hes fairly accurate .

                3. Defense . His defense is his footwork , staying out of range . It has major holes ,hes not hit often bc hes fast and hes 6'7 . Hes also susceptible to counter punching bc his 6'7 frame falls off balance alot when he misses .

Does this mean he cant box ? No , he still wouldn't be a champion .

It does mean he relies on being taller and faster . Hes also a thinker , good ring IQ but theres a reason hes been behind in fights .....

Lack of skill and relies on one power punch which is a right hand . This isnt going to work forever , i guarantee it ! Hes limited skilled fighter who is athletic and can punch which is going to make him dangerous but the right fighter will find a way to pick him apart and Ortiz came close .

Do you really need me to list the all the things wrong technically with the punch he hurt Ortiz with? Being on balance is part of technical aspect of boxing, you need to have your feet in the right position and proper weigh transfer to generate power.

It's definitely a myth. If he can blast someone out he'll blast them out and entertain the crowd. You don't last as long as he has without some boxing skills.

Wilder is no technician, he has one goal and that is to hurt you and then finish you, he's exciting because of this reason.

He has height, reach, speed and power, and he can move around the ring well enough to beat most guys.

He's an accident waiting to happen though, which makes me want to watch him in a way. Every time I do watch him fight it makes me feel bad though, seeing the HW championship has been reduced to small venues and seeing Wilder lose his balance, punch himself off his feet and windmill guys makes me desperate to see him in with the top guys.
