“Really, if we don’t make this fight by the end of 2018, or by January/February 2019 at the very latest, it can’t happen for all of the belts because the mandatories will be due.

Hearn knows full well the sanctioning bodies are as flexible as they want to be, and will stick with whatever situation maximises their sanctioning fees, and that's Joshua.

Mandatories can be negotiated away or delayed easily if it suits the Alphabets.

Hearn will use the mandatories only to claim fights 'must be made for mandatory reasons', aka 'we can't fight Wilder right now because of a mandatory requirement that we can't get out of'. Reality is he could delay any mandatory simply by asking, and he knows this full well.

This crossed my mind too. I didn't go back to check something else Hearn said, but it was something along the lines of 'we want to make the fight but no-one has called us yet', and I only remember it as it was the 'boxing phones only work in one direction' issue.

Now we hear discussions have been going on behind closed doors - so there is an 'alternative fact' in there somewhere.

That's literally all my original post said, how you got anything outside of that is beyond me as that's all I wrote. The fact this has to be explained is mind boggling
Do we always believe what promoters say and if thats all you meant then i was wrong fella.
Between me and you hearn is one smarmy prick but he has always delivered the big fights and he has done that with a number of his biggest fighters..even did it with brook vs spence and golovkin which was almost certain to end in defeat for brook and he also did it with linares vs crolla and joshua and klitscko when joshua was still gaining his stripes.
Don't be surprised in a month or so he announces the joshua wilder fight so i am willing to at least wait a few weeks to see if he delivers.
I hope the fight gets made because its a waste if either fighter loses against other opponents.
With a rematch between the two we are talking mega bucks for both fighters so hearn is a mug if that slips through his fingers

I hope the fight happens as well. I'm not expecting it to get announced in the next couple weeks but i'd like to see that both sides want and are working toward it as opposed to Hearn saying things contrary to it and it not happening because he didn't want it to happen now. If that's the case just come out and say it, he doesn't need to pretend like it't the other side not wanting the fight if he wants to get another fight in before then. I know Joshua will fight Wilder no problem(I also think he beats Deontay), but Hearn on the other hand seems to want to make it look like he wants the fight when he isn't too keen on it happening next and would rather hold it off for another year.

Promoters are born liars and they are the human equivalent of bloodsuckers.....but we really don't know who is talking to who.
For all we know one is playing devils advocate the other is holy as hell and i believe both fighters want it but its all about control.
We will see if it gets announced in a month or so......i hope so because its the best fight in boxing at the moment

Not overly sure why you're arguing with Hearn's viewpoint there? He isn't saying mandatories are stopping the fight from happening; he's saying the fight has to happen sooner rather than later because of mandatories coming up... isn't that what we all want?

But that's my point, he is saying mandatories might stop the fight happening later, which is complete bs as the Alphabets will be flexible, both sooner and later.

I'm reading this as him arguing why, when he doesn't make the fight sooner, he can't make it later either because of mandatories.

In it he flat out says "no one is getting in touch" from Denotay's side.

Now in this article he says "Conversations have been going on for the last few weeks behind the scenes,”

                    What am I missing here?

I mean, how can nobody be getting in touch, when the sole reason you are calling Shelly Finkel pet names is because he brought to the light that he HAD reached out to you and never heard anything back??

Hearns has exposed himself AGAIN as a liar, he said that Wilders team have not approached him for months, but now they been in talks? This clearly contradicts what he told the British public last Saturday in the post fight interview : how does he know all these details if hes not in contact?

Now, I'm going to acknowledge that its rather su****ious that Breazeale did pull out of the IBF eliminator, so you have to question the motive:

                    a) he probably likes his spot as the WBC contender -- the World Boxing Council could call for Breazeale vs. Whyte in a final eliminator.

                    b) If both sides ( Wilder-Joshua) can not come to an agreement, then as Deontay said Breazeale can get the opportunity.

                    Nice try Eddie.
He's a fucking clown, and definitely doesn't want to make the fight yet. Some are too blind to see it though.

I think you might have missed the part where he said that Wilder has three different managers that don't work well with each other. He also said that he has been talking to Al Haymon's people and would rather not deal with Shelly Finkel. I don't see the contradiction. To me it sounds like the fight could get made.
