For some reason there are fighters who love to ride on the wave of others.
As soon as the time comes they just disappear.
That would be really dissappointing. He has been talking on social media all the time that he will fight GGG anywhere, anytime and now he would have the chance, he is suddenly gone missing?
He already has a fight set. You can't just jump out of a contracted fight to jump into a better fight, Boxing doesn't work that way. Fights are made and tickets are sold. A boxer will get sued and lose if he doesn't fight the fight he signed a contract to fight.
If Charlo says something, its fake. If he doesn't say anything and concentrates on his upcoming opponent, then he's scared.
GGG fans have this weird thing where they only believe an opponent truly wants to fight GGG if he begs GGG for a fight and then only asks for 5%. Anything else and they decide GGG is being ducked.
He is contractually bound to fight Centano in a wbc interim bout. You can't just pull out of fights unless it gets cancelled, someone gets caught cheating, or any other extenuating circumstance. You know how many people would never fight who they were suppose to due to other fights freeing up? Yeah man. Boxing definitely doesn't work that way.
Besides, Jermall would immediately lose his WBC mandatory spot as soon as he pulled out of the fight - which would do more harm than good, since Gennady would no longer have to fight him. He'd actually move down the list and be forced to wait behind Jacobs and Andrade. I'm sure he'd just love to have to fight both Andrade and Jacobs to get to GGG (which I personally think is it how it should go. I have no clue why he was placed so high on the WBC list as soon as he declared himself a middleweight)
