Andrade's promoter, Artie Pelullo, said he has been in discussion with Loeffler by text messaging.
"Tom … asked if [Andrade] is in the gym and can Demetrius make the weight," Pellulo told The Times. "I Told Tom yes. Demetrius is in the gym and, yes, he can make the weight.

Looks like he may have a shot.

Please let this fight happen, if he fights another Wade I can't see how anyone can continue to be a fan. He'll be 40 years old and still crushing cans. The best should fight the best period, or none at all this late in their career.

Andrade will get beat up but likely last 12...leading to HBO to say it was a close fight and could have gone either way, which leads to certain people on here claiming it was a robbery.

HBO basically sucks on golovkins taint...just because he actually had a close fight with canelo and you guys cant open your eyes to it doesn't mean its HBOs fault

To me, it's crazy the hype that Andrade is getting as a legit opponent to Golovkin. I like the guy a lot, but I think he gets stopped, and quickly at that.

He's not a bad option though - better than Spike, that's for sure.

HBO has promoted the hell out of Golovkin, but the HBO boxing commentators, particular Max go out of their way to give credit whenever anyone has a decent half round against Golovkin. A few years ago, Golovkin was knocking guys out in a few rounds and Max would try to spin it into "Now maybe Golovkin has shown to be vulnerable enough for others to get in the ring with him"...I think that was after the Monroe fight where Golovkin punished him and knocked him down and made him quit (but Monroe had one decent round).
