Angulo, whose bread and butter is to walk down his opponents, was able to pin down lara on the ropes and touch him up. I believe Freddy Hernandez was also able to pin lara down, but I cant find any footage anymore.

then you have smith, rodriguez, zaveck, martisrosyan II, foreman and gausha, who were all not able to bring the fight to lara and close the distance well.
All these guys were either shot or midrange kind of guys, which suits lara well, because no one really outboxes him at midrange.

Hurd eats a lot of flush shots, but is very durable. He takes a shot and gives a shot and in exchanges often damages his opponent more than they are hurting him.

I dont think lara can avoid exchanges for 12 rounds. Hurd is big and strong for 154 and isnt as easily to clinch, because of his size.
Last fight Ronnie shields responded to the criticism that Lara received for the fight and he said “ I’ve set him down and u still ain’t happy, I’m gonna let him fight his style” basically saying he trained Lara not to move as much it wasn’t because he couldn’t

That sounds about right to me. Hurd is very dangerous but Lara is much more proven. Hurd came from behind to stop Trout. Trout lost every round to Lara.

I think it's worth it if you are confident Hurd will win. If you are unsure then don't bet on either boxer. Never bet on a guy just because the odds are pretty good. Bet on the man you think will win. If the odds were way to high I can see maybe betting the underdog but these are close odds.

            Lara -140
            Hard +110

If you're going to take Lara, just pick straight up, -140 isn't bad at all. The odds are close, and I still need to brush up on film this week but I was shocked by how bad Hurd's footwork was in his last fight. Idk how catches up to Lara.
