Exactly. His promoter should have advised GGG to meet with Canelo's people and come up with a monetary agreement for GGG to go along with Canelo's claim of bad meat and the issue would have gone away but now to say " don't cancel your plans" tells me that GGG isn't getting good business advice because he could lose his biggest purse ever if this fight doesn't happen. Nobody is going to spend a lot of money to watch GGG fight unless it's against Canelo.

That being said, GGG's resume is actually really strong. He's
never ducked anyone, and fought about 15 good-great guys in his career, basically in that guy's backyard every time. He's dominated every fight, and knocked out all but two of them (when both Jacobs and Canelo basically went in to the fight thinking if they could survive 12 rounds with GGG they would be given the belts).
GGG should be afforded an easy fight based on his resume...but with his age and possibly only have a few more years/fights left, he can't afford to not have big fights right now either.
Hopefully Saunders steps up, I think most people would like that. Only other one I'd really be interested in at 160 would be Charlo, but I don't think Charlo really wants it right now. He should be given a couple fights at 160 to get acclimated to the division imo.

That being said the fight is 4 weeks away...this issue has been around for about 4 weeks already...a pro boxer should be ready to get in shape in that amount of time, in order to have the fight of his career. Saunders has basically been in camp anyway.

The fight is still 4 weeks away...if anyone else at 160 really wants the fight they should be pounding the table for it right now. They would have plenty of time to get ready...

Looks pretty bleak.
Those who have put their hand up to date:
- Andrade
- Ramirez
- O'Sullivan (who?)
- Derevyanchenko
- Munguia
- Chavez Jr.
I'm guessing its going to be O'Sullivan given he was in training for GBP on ESPN event for May 4, but hardly a fight to get excited about.

It better not be Sullivan...but I disagree on the notice...if you are a pro, and you have this chance to fight the man and take his belts, you should gladly take the opportunity, unless you really are hurt (Saunders). They have had 6 plus weeks now to get ready for this.
