I don’t think I have seen a single person on here, or in an interview, defend the referee. He was equally poor for both fighters, one of Joshua’s best weapons is the upper cut which was also effectively taken out the fight.

I have to agree, the ref was stopping ANY work happening on the inside. In the first few rounds it helped AJ but as the fight drew on, it was AJ who was looking for those inside uppercuts, something similar to what he landed against Wlad but the ref stepped in twice at least when those uppercuts were on their way.

As bad as the ref was, he could have gotten himself killed lol

        On the contrary.

It was coming out of the refs interference that always allowed AJ the opportunity to try and get a dirty uppercut in there.

Parker was always wise to it and had his arm underneath his chin to protect it at all times.

You mean like Wilder ? lol ...... Parker is lucky the ref didnt let them fight out of a clinch , the most bizarre moment was when Joshua landed a grazing uppercut on the inside in one of the later rounds and the ref prevented him from following it up .

Really Parker did little on the inside and wouldn't have an advantage there !

100% agree with you. All we can ask for as fans is that we see two fighters give it everything, and are given every opportunity to see who's the best. To have a referee influence a fight so dramatically, is piss poor and unacceptable.
