  • Why do fans care so much about PPV sales, splits, purses??

Surely as fans we just want the best fights. It's like we are all trying to play pretend businessmen and getting as much money as possible for a fighter even though we won't be getting any of that money.

Who cares if Wilder doesn't have the same PPV sales the same crowd attendance as AJ, it's the best fight out there right now so we should be demanding it happens at all costs.

Unless maybe it's the AJ fans that keep bringing up the PPV sales the crowd attendances because they don't want the wilder fight, they know what happens in a wilder fight, AJ getting knocked spark out. Hmmmm does make me think.

It happened with Pac/Mayweather and GGG/Canelo. Same ****, different day.

They won't care so much if the B-side behaves as he's expected to by bending to the A-side's terms.
Did we hear anything about the Klitschko vs AJ negotiations?
Exactly. It's because not one of them behaved like Wilder is behaving now.
Fans wish fights just happen, and none of these negotiation details crap.

I think they care about it that much because deep down they know If someone can beat their man they will try to pull off unfair percentages to prevent the fight from happening.
They're trying to do this with Wilder so they can prevent it from happening.

fans that obsess over that live their lives vicariously through these fighters. and contrary to popular belief this is nothing new and goes back further than Floyd/Manny era. but it was enhanced during that period to a new level. fans like that is what I refer to as boxing groupies.

and right now the groupies for AJ are front and center leading the new era of dck slurpers.

even though AJ himself told fans not to discuss these things they cant stop doing it. they already committed themselves to slurping him. there's no turning back.

look at the abysmal stink fest that AJ produced vs Parker yet none of these slurpers complained. they don't care about getting their monies worth. AJ making his money makes their vaginas moist and warm and thats good enough for them.

they are in no rush to see him face Wilder because remember, their satisfaction comes from seeing AJ getting paid. Wilder represents a threat to their slurping fantasies.

and this actually cannot be compared to Floyd/Pacquiao so don't let these slurpers get away with that. Floyd and Manny were HOF bound without each other. the talent pool was so rich they both developed legendary careers. AJ and Wilder are in a very weak heavyweight era. they need each other to establish a legacy. AJ's biggest win is grandpa Wlad on a wheelchair and oxygen tank. and Wilder beat a guy on blood pressure pills. its even.

but when you're a slurper logic doesn't enter the picture. when you've dedicated your time to slurping you will slurp until the end. the AJ slurpers are too deep to change their ways.

Only fanboys do it, you’ll notice. Genuine fans really don’t sit and seriously argue about percentages or ticket sales. It’s just something that fanboys latch onto because whatever their man comes out with is what they see as undeniable gospel facts, so they’ll take these little issues and take them to the death.

Best off being ignored really. We are here to be fans of boxing, not rumours of what gets said in meeting rooms. It’s sad

Of course I want the best fights to be made. I am not that interested in what the boxers pay for view numbers are and never thought I would get a penny of it. Often the best fights are not made. I do like to hear the actual offer that boxers get to fight other boxers. That way I can decide for myself if the boxer is turning down a fair offer to fight or just turning down a ****ty unfair offer to fight.

I just want the best fights made.

I will use GGG-Canelo as an example.

Canelo is the PPV A side. That makes his demand for money understandable...

                    BUT...

While GGG is not the PPV A side, he is still the recognized champ in the division with all them belts, he is THE guy to beat. That gives him the “prestige/respect” A side, if you understand what I mean.

In such a case, it should be 50-50 split for money because one is the star who brings viewers, the other is the guy to beat in the division and still a star, so each fighter brings his own pluses to the fight, that make it great as a whole.
