No i am not his family and not aware how much money he has earned but lets not fool ourselves believing these guys go in the ring for fun or a trophy. I am sure there are a few but certainly not the successful ones, the people that make things happen do you think they do it because they like boxing.
Also I am more than happy with what Joshua has done to date and look forward to watching his further success.
You sound stiff and nerdy - not sure why you are even following boxing.
Aside from that there are many financially successful ex-boxers who became wealthy as a result of chasing greatness and not because it money was their motivation.
Joshua is a B Level, Eastern hemisphere hangin', protected, robotic, BASIC ENGLISH boxer...
JOHN RUIZ is closer to being an ATG Heavy than him...
If he doesn't fight Wilder in his next 2 fights I'll say he's protected. He's an A level fighter in the current heavyweight scene which isn't saying that much but the state of the current hw scene is not his fault.
Yes, he is a bit robotic. I'm reluctant to compare him to Bruno but last night he looked closer to Bruno than Lewis.
If Ruiz was fighting today he'd be a huge threat to Wilder and Joshua.
AJ has unified three recognized world heavyweight titles. That makes him an all time great in my book.
He won one from Charles Martin who might be the worst title holder in boxing history, and he only won his belt via leg injury. Some vacant ones against a 41 year old that had been out of the ring for 2 years coming off a loss and then one against Parker, who won his title in a fight that could have gone either way against Andy Ruiz, a man who can't wear a tie and a belt at the same time or he'll turn into sausages.
Seriously, very few fighter have had easier routes to that many titles. Not knocking his achievements but it's just the truth.
AJ does seem matey with Parker and vice versa - Parker's promoter tried to rile the Joshua camp with all the glass chin taunts and videos but Saint Joshua had pardoned him by time of fight night.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but it did reek of being nothing more than a business transaction between the camps.
Parker will never make that much money for the rest of his career. He signed up, did the fake promotional stuff where he threatens to knock Joshua out and then when the fight was over he just did the "well, lost to the better man" stuff and slinks away with his millions.
Man - you're deluded or a troll or a combination. Scratching around the edges of Tyson's resume. From 1985-90 Tyson was an unstoppable force. He got beaten by Douglas who hit a high peak performance that night - a peak that will most likely remain higher than anything Parker will arrive at at any point in what remains of his career. And prior he had beaten title holders contenders and future title holders such as Greg Page, Trevor Berbick and Oliver McCall.
Then Tyson didn't fight for more than 4 years and came back a different fighter.
Who cares if Holyfield was a blown up cruiserweight? He took care of business as did Toney, RJJ and Moorer when they stepped up. Holyfield when he fought Toney was 41 yrs old and way past his prime - obviously. Foremean is another ATG so any struggle is acceptable.
Moorer spent 3 years campaigning as a LHW and 17 years campaigning as a HW - you are trolling. In the future are we going to say Bud Crawford was a light weight?
Holmes? He fought many fighters who were 6ft 3" or 6ft 4" - bonecrusher smith. In the end it is not down to just size. Otherwise David Price would have been a multiple beltholder.
The reason that Wilder hasn't lost yet is simple - he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse apart from Ortiz and Stiverne I and secondly just as the champions from this level are not on the same level as past champions nor are the journeymen either. The depth of boxing at HW is just not what it was when poverty and discrimination was a major motivator to try your luck out in a ring.
The only deluded people are people that think undersized journeymen/part time boxers can achieve things champions like Wilder and Joshua can't.
By '90 Tyson was getting dropped in sparring by part time boxers, Douglas himself was losing to journeymen that nobody remembers before/after beating Tyson.
McCall was losing to journeymen throughout his career, numerous times. Greg Page too, immediately after losing to Douglas he was losing to 5-5 Mike Wils. Why don't you go on about the ATG Mike Wils or the 60-11 Joe Bugner? Berbick was getting KO'd by Mercardo, drawing with 21-19 Caldwell. These guys that beat them legends too? You can't have it both ways.
Holyfield looked like crap vs Foreman, Qawi, Bowe, and Lewis, he was really undersized with a terrible defense. Moorer and Toney were also picking him apart.
Holmes fought a handful of guys bigger than him and when he did he usually didn't KO them or they took him to his limit like Norton/Witherspoon.
Somehow journeymen/part time boxers are better than this modern era's champions? Look man, fighters have access to better medical care, nutrition, even getting quality sparring/traveling/coaching is MUCH easier, even tools for learning like the internet makes things easier. 80s/90s journeymen were drinking beer, smoking cigars, working their construction or whatever shyt jobs they had and had very little time to take boxing seriously. The world population is MUCH bigger in 2018 than it was in '90, and our science has advanced tenfold since then.
******ed posters like you give NSB a bad name......
Guys like you don't know how to express your opinions or debate lmao. Labeling everyone a "troll" just because they don't agree with you is some baby back SJW type BS
My standards as to what an all-time great is are high. Lewis IMO was the last one in the division and Tyson isn't one IMO. Joshua would have to beat Wilder (he will), beat Fury and reign for a while to be considered.
