A few things I noticed after looking at his record here.

1. This guy is in a different country every single fight it seems. I thought that was odd.

2. In 93 fights (186 fighters), I literally recognize 8.

6. Povetkin
7. Senchenko
8. Karmazin

That's 4.3% which is awfully low!

3. He resides in Ferrara, Emilia Romagna, Italy and is not a native English speaker.

I just don't understand the reasoning here. We have two English speaking fighters, lets get a NATIVE English speaker! Not some guy that speaks English as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th language. Big money on the line here! I'm reading complaints from Parker's camp claiming Gepetto's English isn't that good.

I also don't understand why you would want a no-name referee in such a big fight. He doesn't have a lot of experience with top fighters. Yea, he's done a bit of title fights, but they are trinket belts and girly fights, EBU and shít. I never in my life heard of no guy named Oleg Yefimovych. Literally 95.7% of the fighters he's worked with I've never heard of before.
