The ref clearly can speak English he did so on telly at the start of the fight and in the dressings (on the web).

In theory the holding should have befitted AJ more as he could do a Klitschko and just lean on him from above draining Parker quick albeit at the cost of a few body shots (Vlad made a carear out of it). Parker seemed to prefer it earlier on getting some body shots away but in the later rounds it looked like AJ would prefer the inside work.

We'd definitely get a different fight if the ref let it go but I'm not convinced it benefited Parker over the rounds. I've moaned before at too much holding in heavyweight fights so I'll give the ref a little slack.
This fight was more Fury Vlad than AJ Vlad which was a shame.

Higgins went over the ref and judges with a fine toothed comb so its hard for him to moan now, apparently the NEw Zealand judge gave it by the widest margin.

Speaking English or not was the least of the problems with the referee last night. He had obviously been instructed to allow no inside work whatsoever and warn Parker anytime he came close to connecting on Joshua!

That and ignore them two elbows Joshua landed on Parkers face, we all seen that shiet, yet nobody on the AJ bandwagon is talking about it?
Plus them headlocks and all the other crap... Jeez!

It's like all if you are forgetting that David higgins/ duco contested the original referee and judge line up and re-negotiated to get it changed?

First everyone moans about the scorecards, from a yank, a brit and a KIWI.. all having it wide. never mind that the general consensus of media, professionals and fans scored it similarly .

They had the ref changed to this guy, and when they were asked about it they are on record about saying they were happy with the impartiality of it and said they were glad they'd shown grit and negotiated a different ref.

They said they were fine with the ref until he didn't allow inside work. ****ing poor parker... give me a break

The same people that was okay with the ref nd the official is now complaining. Parker was moving all round the ring so how is the margin not wide even Froch scored it 118-110 in favor of AJ even Parker knew he couldn’t match him for pace and jab

Lmao Parkers team didn't want a British Ref so they got an Italian Ref who ended up being worst.

The ref clearly did speak English though plus Parkers team could of objected the ref way before the fight took place.

End of the day the ref was poor but Joshua clearly won.The judge from Parkers own countries scorecard was wider than the judges from the UK and the US aswell.

Don't care what language he spoke still fucin horrible and incompetent. Thought we all came to see him. WTF the guy was so bad that Aj called his own time out because the tape was hanging for like 2 rounds and had to be fixed. Im like this ref is drunk to let hanging tape go for like 2 rounds. Amateur hour refereeing in a championship fight even the announcers were like who is this guy.
