Did Joshua win a title too early?

I think Joshua won a title too early in his career. He still had a lot to learn when he beat Martin, and now that he's a champion, there's a lot of pressure on him to perform well in every fight. The Parker fight showed that he's still a work in progress.

I think that fighters these days are rushed into winning a title before they've fully grown as a fighter.

Absolutely but Hearn didn't care about Joshua's development and wanted to capitalise on the title disarray left by Fury

I said at the time he beat Martin he's going to be thrown in deep waters from here on due to his championship status, respect to the lad he's done well but you can't keep dodging Wilder

No. He is an undefeated champion in his physical prime so no harm is done. If he were older he would be slower and not as good physically. Prime for a boxer generally ends at about 30 years old and they slowly go down hill. I think most boxers turn pro too old these days rather than too young and are already past prime physically when they win a title if they are good enough. Trinidad was champ at 20. Mayweather was champion at 21 and so was Tyson.

No, why? There's no Klitschko in this division.

Him and Wilder are at a similar level. Same with Parker and Fury. They are all at the same kind of level.

yeh anyone with any sense would aim to peak at around 30, most experienced balanced with max physical ability.

once thats gone past, you 've missed your max peak, and so missed your best chances.

Not really. He has a chance to beat everyone.

He was moved perfectly, I hate when fighters waste years of their physical prime facing cans

he won 118-110, 118-110, 119-109 against another beltholder. what are you on about him winning a title too early unless youve not followed heavyweight boxing for a few years, theres not a line of killers queing up to dethrone joshua, parkers pretty much as good as it gets or at least on a par with the other challengers. strange thread.

Parker is supposed to be one of the top fighters in the divison and AJ won that fight rather comfortably. Yes, he's still a work in progress but he's arguably the best boxer in the division, so no it wasn't too early.
