    Anthony Joshua and double standards

Anthony Joshua fought a pretty smart fight against a pretty good HW with great movement and chin. Joshua used the jab effectively, he didn't tire, he used his ring iq and made adjustments, and he showed that he has the ability to outbox his opponent. Why is everybody criticising him so much? If this was Crawford, GGG, Canelo, Thurman, or Spence people would be calling it a boxing clinic. But since it was Joshua, people are calling him flawed and mediocre. Why are there such double standards in boxing?

Lack of respect for the level of both fighters, and straight hating. I made a similar thread yesterday

Normally when both fighters look average offensively people on here struggle to determine whether it was because both fighters nullified each other or fought poorly.

On this occasion both fighters fought good defensive fights and are very athletic big men, so they both struggled to make the transition from defence to attack. They both did things that were offsetting the other, which is why the fight looked a bit stale.

I think on a couple occasions Joshua got over anxious to land and got sloppy, he will get better there. Parker just couldn't get to grips with Joshua's footspeed and foot pressure.

All these Joshua fan boy cucks...SMH

Joshua is NOT a highly skilled boxer, neither is he improving.

In fact, he is looking worse each fight.

Uncle Eddie is buying his humble African chump titles and laughing all the way to the bank.

It's just pure hate at this stage now.

Objectivity has gone completely out the window with Joshua now. I like him and I wouldn't say I'm a fan. But I think I'll avoid Joshua or Wilder threads unless it is just people offering opinions on what happens the actual fight.

Similarly, people going at Wilder is also annoying.

But with AJ, man's had 21 fights. People are unhinged.

He called Wilder out, Sky pushed the agenda hard. Wilder could have been there but wasnt.

I think most posters just like to be angry or right.

Don't watch him fight if he doesn't fight Wilder. Simple.

I like Wilder but I wouldn't stay up til 5 a.m to see him hurt Adam Klownacki

Parker was there for the taking but AJ looked flustered and confused. AJ fans act like he put on a boxing clinic lol

Like how Wilder put on a clinic against Ortiz? Wilder arguably can't even beat Parker.

From any sensible perspective, and I'm a fan of AJ - this was no clinic.

Let's not fool ourselves or try to fool others. This was a stinker in which AJ looked out of his comfort zone after 4 rounds.

It was no clinic, but Wilder fans act like, because Joshua fought like what he did, Wilder's gonna land that right hand and knock him out. It stunk the joint out that's for sure.

It was similar to the Parker/Fury fight tbh. Or even a Valuev/Haye fight except Parker had no real success with his raiding tactics.

Never caught fire. I never score fights but I do remember thinking it was closeish after 6 but then Parker to me just started resembling Hughie Fury
