Then Miller in Brooklyn or Whyte rematch in the UK after that.

Wilder not until early 2019 at least.
Even if that’s the case you can bet Wilder won’t be fighting anyone as good as those 3 in the meantime.

Fùck me. AJ in 21 fights has fought Whyte, Martin, Brezeale, Molina, Wlad, Takam and Parker. Two unifications.

Wilder’s 40-0 had 8 title fights and fought Stiverne, Molina, Ortiz, had zero unifications, even before AJ won a belt.

Yet somehow AJ is the one ducking.

    Baffling logic.

Povetkin and Miller are still dangerous imo. I don't really like Miller's style for AJ. He's very physical, he's a lump, and he has uncommonly good stamina for a fat lad.

AJ has 3/4 titles. With mandos there is no guarantee he keeps knocking people over.

Wilder fight is risky but it's for all the marbles. I'm not convinced by the narrative that Hearn and AJ don't want it.

It's heavyweight boxing at the end of the day. If he gets chinned then so be it.

Whilst they are casuals who sell out stadiums. If AJ did have to rebuild he would likely STILL be on PPV but fighting in the o2 Arena until another opportunity came again.

AJ can't get away with fighting the Polish lad that Wilder mentioned. All fights are dangerous from here on out. Unless he starts Bowe-ing title belts.

Losing to a near 40-year-old Povetkin would be catastrophic. I'm pretty certain AJ would beat him but it's not out of the question that a quality and vastly experienced operator like Povetkin could spring a surprise.

Hearn is a slippery bastard but he'll throw caution to the wind when the money is there. The obvious issue is the split and venue.

Of all the people involved, it seems that Hearns wants this fight the least.

Well it's actually your logic that is baffling because clearly Wilder wants the fight next and clearly AJ doesn't.

Even if you want to claim that AJ has the better resume, that doesn't change who wants the fight next and who doesn't. You say AJ has better options without Wilder than Wilder has without AJ. Let's say that's true. Wouldn't that further prove which side wants the fight more?

No chance, Eddie Hearnia is taking the Bob Arum approach talking about the fight but not being serious about it.

I say AJ has two more fights and then takes on Wilder against either Povekin, Miller or Whyte.

He definitely doesn't want it. Not next anyway.
