Comments Thread For: Parker Sensed Confident Joshua, But Says 'I'm Here for War!'

Joseph Parker could tell just by looking at Anthony Joshua on Friday that he has taken training very seriously for their heavyweight title unification fight. The 6-feet-6, 242-pound Joshua came in approximately 12 pounds lighter at their weigh-in Friday than he did for his last fight, a 10th-round stoppage of Carlos Takam on October 28. The 6-feet-4 Parker also was 8 pounds less than he weighed for his previous bout, a majority-decision defeat of Hughie Fury on September 23.

I'm guessing the ref steps in before Parker's chin is done tonight.

My £20 is on Team Parker throwing the towel in

Parkers chin might be tidy but if he’s taking a tanking you can guarantee the towel will be going in

Parker looks like he is in decent shape. But unless he has the stamina advantage it will be difficult to see him beating Joshua.

AJ too big too strong and starting to believe in himself now. Parker has to go to the body early and try to drain AJs small gas tank.

Once Joshua is tired about 6th round, Parker could then try to test AJs chin.

Parker thought : " what a bum... all the same... after little success don't expect humility, class or elegance from them..."

this is the most likely scenario - tko by doctor, corner or ref stoppage - round 8-11 - i'm figuring if he makes 12 then he should survive another 3 mins
