  • Comments Thread For: Froch: Wilder Should Have Come, Jumped in Ring Like Fury Did

Former world champion and Sky Sports broadcaster Carl Froch believes WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder made a big mistake by refusing to fly over to Cardiff, to sit ringside for tonight's WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO unification between world champions Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker at Principality Stadium.

I've never known a fighter ask for permission to storm the ring

If the fight was happening **** yeah but Hearn has no interest in taking the huge risk of losin against Deontay.

Yeah he should, I think he is more concern about Whyte high ******* that doe. Because IMHO he didn’t have to jump in the ring with AJ, he could have done it at ringside after the fight with the skysport team, or he could fight Whyte over here to hype up the AJ fight. Because any ****** replies to me about not wanting AJ/Wilder now...please hang yourself.

Worst case scenario he got blocked from the ring like DW did to Baby Miller (go check his interviews) for the Ortiz fight but Miller had no microphone to the world. The cameras didn't show this apparently (maybe AJ should have phoned DW and said hey I have this guy getting into the ring how do I block him I hear your the expert)

Wilder claimed he had it in his Sky Sports contract which is laughable, at best one of his managers may have asked some secretary at Sky sports if they thought it was ok and I suspect they forgot.

Sky was giving him a ring side seat at microphone to millions, they had a press conference setup for him Friday.

It's not like AJ is fighting Jason Gavern, he's fighting another world champion. He might not win.

Also there is no way that gassed up Joshua wouldn't get Wilder in the ring if he did win and win impressively. But to script it. That's an American thing. They embarrassed us all with that Wlad nonsense.

Storm in like Fury and have a laugh. Do they really think the people from Sky, Showtime, Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua, 80,000 fans are going to stop it?

All this build-up over here has been about Wilder. It would have reached fever pitch if he came. For me it seems like he basically didn't come because of his own arrogance.

If the fight gets made now. He's going to look passive.

That wouldn't be very wise or a good idea. He would have risked being arrested entering that ring without prior approval. Joshua has a restraining order against him for crying out loud. It would have been very foolish of him of pulling off an antic like that.

They let Fury in the ring because there was potential for a fight. Wilder would have tried to enter the ring and been restrained because Hearn doesn't want this fight next. I think AJ will fight whoever but Hearn would rather AJ fight someone else and let this fight marinate.
