IMO since this is already a disciplinary hearing, appearance "in person or by telephone" doesn't matter much to the commission hence he was given that option.This "in person or by telephone" is ridiculous.
A lot more can be determined by having someone in front of you. Body language; whether they consult with an advisor before answering; etc.
His future, reputation, and credibility is on the line here, he should be there in person to represent himself.
NSAC will just want to hear an admission from Caneloterol if he took Clenbuterol intentionally to finally decide on the length of the suspension which I think ranges from 2-years to 6-months depending on Caneloterol's answers to the commission's inquiry.Comment

I was thinking the same thing. You would think he would want to make his case in person. He already has shown he has no respect for the process. It won’t help if he’s a no show at the hearing.This "in person or by telephone" is ridiculous.
