...Michael Benson says ESPN says this and now I say this. Maybe Dan said this? No, god, no!

Ugh just call off the date. Fight someone real in late May to early July.

Although I guess if thats Jaime Munguia they must think any Mexican will be good enough & maybe it will be, but I definitely don't think they should put it on PPV if its this caliber of an opponent.

I think Golovkin has to fight somebody to stay sharp. Preferably someone credible but it looks like most credible fighters are booked up. Forget about Canelo and make unification the goal. I never thought chasing after Canelo was a good idea. Golovkin should fire Loeffler and get someone with more street smarts.

Andrade and Derevyanchenko are both free and have both thrown their names out there.

          Why not them?

Money? Maybe they are trying to be like Jacobs and Lemieux by asking for more money than a non-ppv fight can support.

im one of the bigger lil g detractors around....but its going to be difficult to get a fight like andrade/ggg on this short notice.....andrade is prob going to want real good money for it and treat it like they had planned it for 5 months....not sure how derevyanchenko would approach it....but i know andrade aint gonna take short money for it

Sure. The important thing is that he stay busy against someone that can give him a fight. The sooner the fight is signed the better.

They need to stop pushing this Spike dude. He's a journeyman at best.
