The whole point of testing is to cancel a fight if a fighter pisses dirty. That is literally the entire point.

exactly what I said a few days back. 6 month suspension but deliberately BACKDATED to the 1st test result. That leaves Canelo room to cycle for a couple of months, make the fight official in July so he can come in clean and fight in Sept.

It's still a solid punishment for Canelo. There is only so many times that he can fight, being forced to skip a fight now doesn't mean he can make it up later. Also his value is probably peaked now, so taking one more fight at the end of his career is not equivalent at all.

For Golovkin, If you consider the Canelo fight A level money, and everything else B level, it does not really matter if he fights A and the B, or B and then A.

This is all true but the GGG fight is still his biggest fight out there, sales will be hurt this May with the failed test
