Comments Thread For: Joshua: Now I'm The Hunted, I'm Out There Defending My Throne

Anthony Joshua's self-belief is growing but he insists he retains the spirit of an underdog despite being widely regarded as the number one heavyweight in the world. Joshua will attempt to strengthen his claim to that status when he puts his WBA, IBO and IBF titles on the line against WBO champion Joseph Parker at Cardiff's Principality Stadium at the weekend.

That’s the right mentality to have for a champ

They say it’s harder to defend the strap then win it that’s why so few have long runs as champs

Props to AJ for staying grounded despite the straps , popularity, $ and fame which can get inside a fighters head and of have them performing their best

Interesting use of the word "hunted". Exposes his mentality. He wants to avoid being caught and will do anything to hold to his belt e.g. duck Wilder. Thanks.

Wilder is badly managed. He should have been the one in AJ's position but his promoters are bumskulls just as the bumsquard himself. Oh, 39 bums he's fought

Yeah okay...he would beat the **** out of your favorite fighter. Educate yourself before you say ****** things. Joshua is more popular because the UK has more loyal fans than in the US. The whole country is behind Joshua simply because is from the UK. Boxing in the US is corrupt and the fans don't stand behind their fighters like other countries. If Wilder is a bum...then tell b*tch a$$ Joshua to stop acting like a p*ssy and make the fight.

Nope. The U.K. is a fraction of the size of the us so I’m not having that. Joshua is more popular because he’s taken more risks and challenges in his career culminating in the Klitschko fight which sent his profile through the roof. Since that fight he’s had a mandatory and now he’s in another unification. The wilder fight will happen in the next two fights I reckon. Not really a ***** move when you consider it took wilder pretty much 40 fights to fight someone with a pulse but you keep spinning it how you want.

UK fans are not more loyal , they are complete morons who think any UK heavy weight with a pulse is world class.

Only in the UK could awful heavyweights like David price, hughie fury, audrey Harrison, Dillian Whyte remain relevant.

They even have a new tier of garbage hype jobs coming through... Daniel dubious, joyce etc...
