    Comments Thread For: Joshua is Confident Enough To Bet on Himself To KO Parker

    Anthony Joshua predicts an early end. Joseph Parker is still deciding how he will end it. For a world heavyweight unification title fight refreshingly free of trash talk, predicting the outcome on Saturday in Cardiff was as close as Joshua and Parker came to banter at their first joint news conference in fight week.

    If you read what he said he didn't bet a dollar on himself. He suggested others bet on him while saying he trained for 12 rounds. He also suggested they bet $20 so hardly a ringing endorsement. Not like he was asking people to bet the farm. I am more and more convinced that this goes to decision. The odds for a decision were about 4:1 earlier this week.

        "Lively Challenger" ; try unheralded monster foaming at the mouth, newly woken from his six-month slumber and bent on gorging himself on the bones of the 'real challenger' whose marrow he will continue to slurp on late into into the night. . . another step on the ladder, this type of thinking spells ultimate doom for his fighter. . .

          The other day someone asked me what AJ ever said that came across as vapid. I present Exhibit A;
          “Every fight will have reason in the long run”

              You know, the dressing room--the exact same energetic field as 75,000 screaming people (I allotted for 3,000 not screaming because they're checking their phones).

                  Wlad didn't seem to show fear, just his usual work ethic he'd had for umpteen fights in a row. He was the exception to practically all the previous Joshua opponents. But I think we'll see a light bulb go off in Parker's head with the first solid Joshua punch that lands. He may react by immediately trying to retaliate, or he may just cover up and back into the ropes, completely lost. Hey, we'll find out soon enough, but I have a feeling Parker isn't seeing the 12th round. Here's to a great fight this weekend.

                    I think Parker could break the KO streak.
