    I doubt it
No you’re right it wasn’t BUT..... normally when a fighter signs a contract for a future fight it is because his current opponent is a no-hoper, i.e. Chavez Jr at 164 or Eric Molina. Parker while not a great opponent in my opinion is still a live enough that Joshua can’t be making future plans.

I don’t recall anyone doing what Wilder fans are asking, signing a future contract while fighting a current world champion.

AJ is -900 to win over parker...with parker being +550

canelo only opened as a -650 favorite against Chavez and it went down to as little as -450....which is half the favorite that AJ is right now

Not surprise at all... AJ will be a massive favourite against Wilder too.

            good for him

what I said proved my point that AJ is a bigger fave over parker....than canelo was over Chavez

yet somehow golden boy was able to make a deal with k2 before the Chavez fight

            so basically...I win!

btw...ill gladly take wilder at+550 against AJ and ill make a lot of money on it

Fair enough but I still asked you to tell me if anyone has ever signed a future contract against another opponent while facing a current champion. Seems you’re 1 for 2 then.

does it really matter if the other guy has a belt when you are considered that much of a favorite?

It could do because it’s added pressure for Joshua being that he could potentially have 3 of the 4 major belts if he wins. He’s expected to win and he should but I completely understand if he doesn’t want to look ahead of Parker. We’ve seen fighters lose fights they weren’t supposed to when they start looking ahead.

Judah against Baldomir, he was signed to face Floyd and look what happened. Khan is another example of looking ahead going wrong. Just let Joshua get Parker out of the way first.
