Comments Thread For: Sergio Mora vs. Alfredo Angulo on Lara-Hurd Undercard

In what is the true definition of a crossroads battle, former WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora, 37, will collide in the ring with Alfredo Angulo, 35, in an eight round fight on April 7 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The contest, which is going to pit ex-sparring partners against each other, will take place at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds - as part of the non-televised portion of Showtime's televised card.

    loser retires, winner retires too

I never understood why Angulo went to train with Virgil Hunter. It seems like such an awkward matching.

This ain't a bad matchup actually. Both guys got a lil bit of a name for themselves. Both guys on the back 9 of their career. I like this type of matchmaking that lends itself to interesting &/or competitive fights. Too many fights get made that look too heavily favored towards one guy.

Nah... Even Mora didn't want this fight cuz he feels bad for Angulo.
