  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder Won't Attend Anthony Joshua-Joseph Parker

Deontay Wilder won't set foot inside Principality Stadium on Saturday night, let alone the ring. Tim Smith, a spokesman for Premier Boxing Champions, confirmed to BoxingScene.com on Tuesday that Wilder won't attend the Anthony Joshua-Joseph Parker heavyweight title unification fight in Cardiff, Wales. The unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion had planned to serve as a guest commentator for Sky Sports' coverage of Joshua-Parker.

"He chasing the fight" though, by not working the Joshua PPV and not calling him out on air to all the Joshua fans.

Stop all the talk of Wilder wanting the fight, he clearly doesn't.

DiBella stated 2019 the other day... Hearn blatantly wants Joshua vs Miller at the Barclay Centre in August which makes a lot of sense from their POV... If Team Wilder have any money to put on a show, they should get Dillian Whyte to Vegas and let Wilder put on a show against him. One thing is fo sho tho, Joshua vs Wilder doesn’t happen in 2018.

AJ fans will try to pretend this isn't about AJ refusing to let Wilder in the ring afterward. And, they'll act like they believe it.

AJ said he will invite him after the fight if he feels like it. Wilder isn't calling the shots.
