Comments Thread For: Joshua: Not Looking Ahead To Wilder, I Believe I'll KO Parker

Anthony Joshua is refusing to look beyond his world heavyweight title unification fight with Joseph Parker on Saturday. The WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF titles are on the line at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff as both fighters protect an unbeaten record. There has been talk of a future fight with Deontay Wilder, but Joshua is only focused on business in Cardiff.

So he's preparing to go 12 rounds with the knockout coming in the final round?

Yeah nah... if anyone's going down in the final round it'll be the gassed and barely able to keep his arms up, giant glass jawed robot!

Don't forget that AJ's last 2 KO wins were in late.

He's not looking to Wilder at all, period. We know how shook he is.

Won't even allow the Bronze Bomber in the ring.

True. The Takam TKO should have an asterisk though. Geez that was a questionable stoppage. I mean Takam was NOT going to come back and win, but let the man battle for his pride.

Yeah and you’re obviously more qualified than the referee in allowing Takam to continue to take heavy shots. There was nothing coming back ffs.

I'd definitely rather see safety first rather that than another Eduard Gutknecht, Nick Blackwell or Scott Westgarth.

There's really no harm done, Joshua would have won anyway on points had it gone the distance because he was cruising.

I'd definitely rather see beaten fighters rescued before risking serious damage. Even if it saves 1 in 100 it's worth it.

                    He wasnt taking heavy shots.

Her slipped a few, glanced a few and still had his hands up weathering what was probably AJ's last flurry before gassing.

Takam with nothing to lose and down on points with gas in the tank for the final 2 rounds could have made life embarrassing for a spent AJ, and should have had the opportunity to do so!
