From the thread title, I thought Sr was against a decision to suspend Canelo, but he makes a lot of sense. A decision should be made swiftly. Maybe they're waiting for someone to grease their palms. I wouldn't put it past them.

He's obviously correct. It's a face saving exercise. We all know how it works. Way too much money riding on Canelo for him to go down over a drug test.

The only legitimate reason for this kind of delay is that they are conducting further tests/scientific review of the existing samples and perhaps reviewing with experts the possibility of C having such a high level of clen by ingesting tainted meat. IF they can truly get new data that will inform their final decision and IF that is what they are doing the delay is justified, otherwise it isn't.

If they're not doing any more meaningful work this is ridiculous. It leaves the fighters and their camps hanging and it leaves fans who have bought tickets, flights and hotel rooms hanging. Just pathetic.

Let's be honest here, Goldenboy has always planned for this to be a trilogy. Everything since the first fight points towards a trilogy. Before the first bell even rang all they spoke about was about how this had the potential to become a trilogy. I hate to sound skeptical here but it all seems like this has been maneuvered towards that direction. The bogus draw, the controversy in the rematch setting the stage for another controversial decision. I hope we get a convincing win in the rematch but without a doubt they're going to squeeze out another one. Can't blame them, it is a solid match up but I'd much rather it played out organically rather than the unnecessary build up.

... trilogy?... OK, OK... but there are "fake trilogies" and "genuine trilogies"... (following the first fight I lost any interest...)
