Genuine question, how are AJ and Wilder the universally recognised #1 and #2? Povetkin has a chance to beat both, and there is no clear, dominant champion in the division.

Even if AJ beats Parker then and Wilder then Fury is back soon, and loads of challengers coming up. The winner of AJ/Wilder would still have at least 2 HW's that could beat them.

Yes because Joshua wasn't in a threatening fight ,taking on Klitchko in his 19th fight .

The thought of facing Wilder now with more experience must really have them shook ?

Even Wlad past prime is a better fighter than Wilder. Wilder has nothing but a punch. Wlad had that too, in both hands and was far far more skilled.

Slow Ortiz would have landed nothing on Wlad and would lose every round.

Klitchko was in 3 training camps and was training for Joshua in 2016 bc that WAS the original date . He was training for Fury before that , who Peter said was going to be more aggressive and said Tyson would have to train harder for that he couldn't win the same way.

Klitchko WAS favored to win the Fury rematch ,the notion he was done is lunacy and the Joshua fight PROVED that .

Wilder more dangerous than Klitchko who fought a less experienced Joshua ? Everyone knows Klitchko has always come back looking better .

i agree fight should happen next. i doubt hearns 'protecting' joshua but he sees the opportunity for 2 nice pay days if he fights whyte first. however joshua should be demanding it BUT what people seem to forget is hes got a fight coming up this weekend lol, let him deal with that and then its time to negotiate.

Even Wlad past prime is a better fighter than Wilder. Wilder has nothing but a punch. Wlad had that too, in both hands and was far far more skilled.

Wlad was the more skilled/better fighter, but time catches up with everyone and when boxers reach that age they lose a step in the department of speed and reflexes which typically also makes them gun shy. It was very evident in the Fury fight, and to a lesser extent the Joshua fight where after dropping AJ, Wlad refused to throw a meaningful right for the remainder of the bout. That won't happen with Wilder.

At this point I'd favor the youth, speed, and power of Wilder over the age and diminished speed & reflexes of Wlad.


With that said I'd still favor Joshua to win 60-40.

He's the 2nd biggest star in the sport.

Klitschko could've been in 20 training camps, none of that changes the fact that the guy was 41 years old and past his best. Yes, he still proved he had a lot to show in his losing effort against Joshua, but I'd favor the youth, power, and speed of Wilder over the diminished reflexes, speed, and age of Klitschko.

I'd love to get the best possible fights now, but whining like a little girl when they don't happen make no sense.

Fact is, Wilder and AJ are not in a rush to fight. There are no good options left after that fight, and they're both in their prime and can afford to wait a year.
