  • Comments Thread For: Lucas Browne: My Eye Was Giving Me Trouble, I Will Be Back

Australia's Lucas Browne has thanked concerned fans for their messages of support after he was rushed to hospital following his brutal sixth-round TKO to Dillian Whyte in London. The 38-year-old was floored by a powerful left hook from Whyte in a bout for the WBC Silver title which left him flat out on the canvas and needing urgent attention from ringside medics.

I'd give him some respect if he had come into the fight in decent shape and had an actual gameplan.

He looked like he showed up for a quick paycheck.

He should not be allowed back.He along with Dillian was two stone over weight , the difference is Dillian knows how to box and has a defence.Browne is just a sitting duck against any one who can avoid his wild out of range swings ....and that means every world class fighter. Hearn should be ashamed of himself trying to disguise this mismatch as some kind of eliminator for a title shot.

Agreed, he seems like a good guy but I wouldn’t let him fight anymore, it seems like his heart’s not in it, he’s 38 already and way out of shape. For his own health he should find another job and spend more time with his kids. People love the KOs but I don’t really like seeing an older guy desperate for money put his life on the line like that, it’s sad.

He's nearly 40 and a former steroid user, who hasn't had a real fight in 2 years.Guys in that situation often look like what Browne did last night(soft and out of shape). you're right tho, he looked to be in awful shape.

I give him respect because he had virtually no advantages and he was getting ripped apart yet he kept going forward until he went out. In this day you got a lot guy's who as soon as they see things not going their way try and get out. So I give him props for that
