I think he's just wanting Whyte vs Joshua II to be the MEGA HW FIGHT in the UK vs he wants to make Wilder vs Joshua be the mega HW fight in the UK. And he's probably thinking Whyte is a much easier unifying fight than Wilder so its better career positioning to have Joshua WIN his next big fight or look crazy good in it like I suspect he would vs a predictable, lesser foe.

I don't see Hearn being like a Arum-like promoter who overly protects his fighters. But I think he does see the upside in a in house HW unification fight (assuming Whyte can beat Wilder) being an optimal outcome for Matchroom plus puts him in position to make his Joshua in the US move with Joshua as The Champion to make a bigger mark out of the gate in the US.

Hearn is protecting Whyte from Chisora because he's maneuvering Whyte into the WBC position to fight Wilder to keep Wilder off of Joshua. If Joshua gets past Parker & he don't want Wilder next then make
Breazeale-Wilder. Breazeale is just as good as Whyte, probably better.
      Shame on you, Motor!
      Just shame, man.

I think they do want Wilder, but in the US, been said many of times its only the legit fight for Joshua to break the US market. I think theyre stalling the Wilder fight til its able to do big money in the US.

Joshua will always want Whyte, they both want to be able to legally beat on each other as much as possible. Legit hatred.

Whyte/Breazeale should be the next fight, should've been this fight, both had nothing to do. WBC stalling the final eliminator. Think itll be a while before Wilder has a mandatory anyhow.

This is the way i see it too, it's a win-win for Matchroom. As things stand now, Wilder is not that well-known in the UK (or the USA either, some might say...). I know we all want the best fights, and we want them made yesterday, but if a bit of marinating means extra millions in the bank, you can understand why fights get made the way they do

                Hmm...what am I missing?
Hearn had always wanted huge Beyontay for White.
You mean Beyontae is inferior to Chisora?
Is this thread done hastily or what?
                It's all over the place.

Exactly! It's not like Wilder Vs. AJ couldn't happen September/October/November...
Whyte wants Wilder in June that leaves plenty of time for one more big heavyweight clash.

Lol sounds like u got whyte problems defending and justifying Wilder from ducking.

Wilder can accept his fair payment and get whopped by Joshua now, or he can fight his mandatory Whyte.

The choice is his. He can so it the easy way or the hard way
