Comments Thread For: Hearn: Canelo's Suspension is Not Good For Golovkin Rematch

In the opinion of veteran promoter Eddie Hearn, the recent suspension of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is a big blow to the upcoming rematch with IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Canelo is scheduled to face Golovkin for a second time on May 5th, in the main event of an HBO Pay-Per-View from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

I think nelo is cheating he’s improved too much. He was always quite good. But he just jumped up a level or two.

"...boxing and ethics don't really always mix." Such candour from Hearn! Is he in love? I personally think he's having an affair with Brook. ..

Another excuse for Caneloterol if he loses, "NSAC/VADA prevented me from eating more tainted cows".

              Just permanently ban/suspend Caneloterol now.

"I don't know if ethically its right [for the fight to happen, but boxing and ethics don't really always mix." - Eddie Hearn

The Gift and The Curse! This is why Boxing is closer to the WWE, than it is closer to the NBA! All sports have "shady" characters, but Casinos, ********, and Adult Entertainment (Boxing included) was built by "shady" characters! You would never hear someone like NBA Adam Silver make a statement like Hearn, whether it was true or not1

there´s really no question wether he cheated or not. he did, period.
this sport inself is a joke with corrupt judging and months/years inbetween fights where fighters can do whatever the **** they want (PEDs) and just cycle off of them when a fight is being announced and before testing starts.
my love for boxing just diminishes further and further.

The amount of Canelos clenbuterol traces i the second sample is 3x higher (0.06-0.08ng and 0.6-0.8ng) than amounts for which other professional athletes were disqualified. Moreover, the maximum attainable number recorded, after metabolic breakdow, in Mexico for contaminated meat is 0.3ng (ie 300pg, 2 pubmed studies). One of Canelo's samples was 2x higher. Until now I was quiet but now I know Canelo cheated. It is sad for such a talented guy.
