Comments Thread For: Joshua: Who's To Say I Couldn't Fight on For Another 10 Years?

WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is planning to stick around for a very long time. The 2012 Olympic gold medal winner has a career-defining year in 2017, when he stopped Wladimir Klitschko last April before a crowd of 90,000 fans at Wembley in London.

Yep, so as long as he ducks Wilder. He probably will fight a 40 year Wilder too!

The minute he steps foot inside the ring to fight Wilder his entire future in boxing is over! Wilder will crush all of his dreams with a devastating knock-out loss. Regardless of what he mumbles out of his mouth, his heart is nonexistent and he also lacks the style to stay at the top. He gets hit to easy and to clean. Wilder will find his chin easily and possibly turn off Joshua lights in round 1!

Of course you could fight to 40 years old so next 12 years. But you’d have so much money by 35 years old you might not want to.

at least he didn't have to win his belt in his 33rd bout or fight a live opponent in his 40th bout

If Joshua is boxing in 2028 things have gone horribly wrong for him.

Although 38 isn't THAT old for a HW with the money Joshua is making & could be making over the next few years one would think he'd retire sooner rather than later. He seems like an intelligent guy who learns well as he moves forward. Thats a type of mfer I wouldn't expect to stay too long in boxing. This sport is unforgiving & whats a billion dollars if your brain is f#cked up?

                  Exactly.

How much money do you need in your bank account before the brain cells you are losing & the pieces of you that are lost in this sport over years of blows to the head isn't worth it?

Whatever that number is for Joshua I think he'll reach it & a lil more before 10 years is up or his career went highly south &/or his money got massively effed up somehow.

You missing the point, who did Joe Louis DUCK? Who did Joe Louis tell to build up their name? What fighter did Joe Louis tell to fight another before fighting him?

This dude is definitely not, and will not dominate like Joe Louis.
