Does todays Lucas Browne experience highlight just how skilful Deontay Wilder actually is? There are a great number of posters here who claim that all Wilder is is one big right hand. Lucas Browne was supposedly the same thing but i dont think Whyte would have been handling Deontay in the same manner. I personally think this shows Deontay in a whole other light in terms of boxing IQ and subtle skill.
Lucas Browne - Deontay wilder

The entire heavyweight division other than the Klitschkos has been pretty much garbage since the 90's. There have been a few pretty good heavyweights since then but few and far between. Wilder still stinks, and Whyte and Browne are both C+ fighters. -
Browne is and has always been the heavyweight Lemieux, but with half the accomplishments and even worse an athlete. Browne is a C level fighter at best, his name was only hyped last fight because the AJ fanboys needed to make it seem like Browne / Whyte is a credible opponent for AJ's next fight (after Parker).
No-one even rated Browne before the fight with Whyte was announced.
These are the same people that say that the 41 year old Wlad, inactive for a year and a half was the BEST version of him in years!!! LOL! Wlad has them Benjamin Button genetics, getting younger as he ages!Comment

Whyte handled Browne so easily because Browne turned up fat and slow and didn't even attempt to defend. Wilder is neither fat or slow so that would be a different proposition. Basically i'd say it's more physical attributes that'd make the difference rather than technical... though don't think Wilder would just let Whyte continually hit him either.Does todays Lucas Browne experience highlight just how skilful Deontay Wilder actually is? There is no comparison between Browne and Wilder. Only idiotic and delusional folks can even think there is. Wilder is much much faster, very athletic, great jab, pivots well, can fight on front and back foot, legit one-punch knockout power (which Browne never had despite all the lies told by Eddie and Whyte to hype yesterday's pathetic fight), much better stamina, better head movement, etc.
Nothing Whyte did today showed any improvement. He was over 252 lbs. How do you get that big and want to go against Wilder? I see Wilder-Whyte going like Stiverne or Arreola. I don't think Whyte survives past 4 rounds against Wilder. Wilder could knock him out in 1 round honestly. Whyte definitely gets knocked out.
The same pathetic Whyte says Wilder has no boxing skills. He should watch himself and Lucas Browne - they looked really, really terrible. The only good part of the fight was the left-hook knockout. That's it.Comment

I heard Kellerman make the comparison and commented on it earlier. I agree with what you're saying except that it's not necessarily skills. It's honing in on the one skill he has which is that huge right hand. Klitschko did the same thing except he was actually skilled. But he was also undisciplined until Steward got a hold of him. I never saw Browne fight before but from what I saw he didn't look like he was disciplined. Wilder actually takes boxing seriously and can go a long way in this current era of HWs.Does todays Lucas Browne experience highlight just how skilful Deontay Wilder actually is?
