So the real question is should he be made mandatory for the WBC belt now? I think he should be personally, at very least a eliminator with breazeale called - but WBC really should decide within a couple of weeks

Browne looked awful tonight but credit has to be given where its due. Thay KO was brutal.. Horrible. I actually thought Browne died because he stopped moving.

Browne is a undefeated former heavyweight world champion that has never even been dropped in his boxing career, so Whyte deserves his credit and this win has raised his stock a whole lot. Sadly, dominant wins like this usually mean he won't get the Wilder fight as he is too much of a legit threat to the BIG money fight.

Whyte actually dissapointed me. He carried the roidless (not enough anyway) browne, a guy who without the juice is nothin. He was there to get his head taken off from rd one, I was expecting a quick/entertaining beatdown and I didnt enjoy that performance delaying the inevitable, but at least he sparked him.

I didn't watch because everything I've seen from Whyte says he's garbage. If you guys think he looked good, fair enough, but I've got to ask, how the hell would any decent boxer not look good against Browne, who is years removed from the one semi relevant fight he had (while on PEDs)??

In fact, Browne's one meaningful win was a fight where he got clowned until he landed a miracle punch at the end. Again, while on PEDs. This thread sounds like wishful thinking.

This part is completely untrue. He was dropped early in his career by Scott Belshaw, he got dropped by old Travis Walker and got dropped in that title fight against Chagaev.

As bad as Browne was I'm genuinely surprised, I didn't think Whyte could **** that well. Stone cold KO.

He probably is, but honestly Browne was not a good yardstick... also I noticed that Whyte is still missing a fair bit and still throws himself off balance way too often. Dude still has a good few years left in him mind, so there is time for more refinement, but I'd say someone like Pulev, Takam, Breazdale or Miller is more realistic for a next fight... beat any of them and I think he deserves a shot at Wilder.

I like Whyte he's a good fighter and nice addition to the upper reaches of the division.

People will say he 'sucks' on here because they are so used to watching 10 stone 7 men.

Whyte does a lot right, imo. His jab and left hook are decent weapons and tonight albeit against a chap who came in in shocking shape was defensively responsible. He tried a few wild shots if only because mostly everything seemed to land.

Browne's head was an absolute violence magnet. God bless him anyway because that was uncomfortable viewing even as early as the 2nd round.

I can't get over Browne's defence. Literally nothing. He's a big lad and sturdy enough you'd think he'd be fairly functional behind a high held guard. I don't remember him being that bad.
